Meet Our Family!

We are so glad you’ve found us! We are thankful that you’ve taken the time to learn more about our family. We are hoping to add to our clan through the miracle of adoption. We know what it’s like to have life turn out differently than you may have thought, and we very much respect your decision to consider adoption.

I (Raymon) was raised in the middle of seven children in Utah. My parents instilled in us a strong love for family, a desire to learn about my ancestors who paved the way for us, and a strong belief in God and His Son. I enjoyed being with my siblings, playing neighborhood night games, and spending time in the outdoors. After serving a church mission to Italy I graduated in Political Science with minors in history and international studies. I found however that my real love was helping people discover their family and connect with their heritage. I have been working at FamilySearch for over 18 years and although I now have a managerial role, my favorite thing to do is to help others research their family history. I love being a father and enjoy spending time with Jessica and our children. I am currently working on my master’s degree in Instructional Design and Educational technology and have enjoyed stretching myself and learning new skills.

Reading stories with Daddy

I (Jessica) grew up in colorful Colorado as the oldest of four kids. Playing various roles in musicals was how most of my spare time was spent, along with participating in singing and dancing groups. I also had fun playing soccer and being in track meets. In our home I learned the importance of hard work, faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the value of service to others. I studied vocal performance in college and after a church mission in Oregon and graduating, decided to get an advanced certification so that I could teach special education. I LOVED my career as a teacher, and found the work I did in the classroom with children who had special needs to be very meaningful and fulfilling. However, NOTHING has compared to choosing to stay at home with our two kiddos. I love to laugh, spend time with Raymon and the kids, read good books, and eat dark chocolate.

Raymon and I met on a blind date of all places. We were married in 2012 and although it took us a little longer than we would’ve hoped to find each other, we were so excited to get married and start our family!

Best day EVER!

We welcomed our first child, Reid into our lives a year after marrying. He is ALL boy… rambunctious and active, but also so sweet and smart. He keeps us on our toes and is very full of curiosity and wonder. Reid enjoys dancing to his favorite music, (lately it’s Newsies) loves all things Superhero, and is excited to start playing T-Ball again in the spring!

After a difficult miscarriage, Bria joined our family in 2015 and is the sassiest three year old you ever did meet. She is independent and fierce, and we love her spunky personality. Jessica teaches a music class with her and 7 other littles to help Bria have an outlet for her love of dancing and singing. She loves all things Princess, Barbie, and Babies. Yep, she’s our girly girl.

Our family loves the outdoors, camping, and spending time together participating in wholesome recreational activities. We raise our children to respect and love one another, and to work hard and forgive each other. Our family motto is “Naisbitt’s do hard things.”

Our week up at Snowbird

Our faith in Jesus Christ is a large part of who we are and we strive to live by the “golden rule.” Extended family is also important to us and we see grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousins on a regular basis.

After a couple of years of failed fertility treatments and feeling like our family is still not complete, we are so thrilled to have the blessing of being able to adopt. We hope that you consider allowing us the honor of getting to know you. Our belief is that adoption is a true miracle, and should you choose our family we would be more than happy to share pictures, emails, and letters with regular updates about your child. We are very open to discussing how much or how little you would like to be involved in your child’s life. We promise to love your child and give them a safe and supportive home where they can become their best selves. We will forever be grateful for your bravery and grace!
